Exciting days...

I've had an absolutely fabulous start to the new year, joining two fabulous Creative Teams!!!

Firstly to the Kraft It Up CT...I feel so honoured to be a part of this truely AMAZING line up of talent! :) Check out the rest of the team here...I'm really looking forward to working with these ladies over the next coming months! :)

Secondly, the new look 123 Challenge Blog! It's brilliant to discover we haven't completely lost this wonderful challenge site...with Mel taking over from Charm. The 1st challenge goes live March 1st, but over the next month, Mel will be introducing the rest of new creative team.

So let's just say...you can not wipe the huge smile from my face! :)

I hope everyone is enjoying their Australia Day, however you like to celebrate it! I had a spare moment between stops to update my blog...

Over the past week I've been able to finish off a couple of old layouts previously started.
This first one was started a looong time ago at a Scrapbooking From Scratch retreat, if my memory is correct, it was using one of their sketches too. It worked well for the current STG challenge which was scrapping a page using a list.

Again, this layout was started months ago after seeing what Kim Jeffress does with the Heidi Swapp folders. This was a story that simply had to be told, but I loved that it could be hidden with the photos inside ;) because kids still need their privacy!

Scrap The Girls!

It's been an embarrassing long time since I've had a chance to play over @ Scrap The Girls, so it's lovely to finally have that time! It's their 4th birthday & they have a fabulous range of challenges for you...one down for me, let's see how many I can get done :)

This one is challenge # 3 - Julie Winks aqua/white & one neutral colour.

As soon as I pull the camera out, my girl is making faces...more silly faces are captured than natural. Hehe I did warn her that I would scrap them ;)

2013...Happy New Year!

Here's to a very happy & prosperous 2013!
I'm not one to wish my life away, but 2012 brought too many lows to my family & friends...here's to starting fresh for a brighter future for all!

I'm loving the holidays, I've been lucky enough to spend a bit of time scrapping since Christmas...I'm feeling very relaxed & happy. Some layouts have been purely personal, teen girls would be not happy on the sharing, but here's a couple that I can share...

As you can see, I'm loving these MME papers at the moment...totally gorgeous.

Making the most of Simple Stories Snap! papers for my not so girly girl ;) & a background I created months ago...it's nice to finally put it to use.

Merry Christmas...

I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year! Let's hope 2013 brings much happiness & health for all!!!
We've enjoyed a wonderful Christmas with all it's festivities, but I'm loving the peace & relaxation of Boxing Day...especially as I found time to scrap! :) :) :)

First one for this months WW1...white + red + christmas photo.

 

Here's a close up of the beads...hehe rather therapeutic selecting & placing all those beads in there ;)

 

This one was simply for fun...love the MME papers, so gorgeous & this photo of my girl.

 

I had a couple of pieces of this paper, so layered the 'follow your heart' piece & using Imaginarium's gorgeous honeycomb chipboard, it was super easy to replicate the hexagon effect in the top of the paper.

 

Again another layout for fun! I started this layout a couple of weeks ago...wanting to play with the Rangers Rock Candy a bit more, so it was good to finally finish it! I had found this old photo of my hubby in our early years which I simply had to scrap...I love this guy more than words can say!

 

 

A close up of the Rock Candy...it was the last bit in the jar & I don't whether it was that or the heat of the day, but the shards ended up falling off, so after gluing them back in, I put another layer of crackle paint to keep it all in place.

SBM 'Masters'

So amazing to see the new SBM Masters for 2013...huge congratulations to them all! It's such a brilliant line up of ladies & I'm in total awe of their entries. I'm super excited for a couple of personal fav's, but wish all the girls a fabulous year ahead!
I feel so honoured to be in the 'Honourable Mentions' magazine...my double layout was a 'sentimental' favourite for me, so to see it there was a bit emotional ;) :)

Scrap the Boys

Ahhhh I didn't think I was going to make this months cut off for Scrap the Boys November challenge...haha just made it in the nick of time! Please excuse the dodgy night time photography ;)

This month was a colour challenge...

I simply loved the colours & had to give it a go...especially as my son had a t-shirt in similar colours. This is what I came up with.
