150th Post...

I can't believe it's my 150th post on my humble little blog...hehe to think of all that procrastinating whether to set one up or not!!! I'm so thankful I did...it's opened up some lovely opportunities in the sharing of my work & I truely treasure the wonderful comments I receive from a very encouraging bunch of talented scrappers!!! I'm sure I'm not alone in being my own worst critic (hehe...it's seems an endless work in progress here), so it is brilliant to have that outside reassurance. Though the only critics that truely matter to me are my children...ultimately it is their stories that I'm trying to preserve for them & their children. Haha & we are talking waaaay down in the future, hehe I'm not ready to be a grandmother just yet!!! ;) Anyway...I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all that read & support me with my blog, it's greatly appreciated! :) Mwah!!!

Back to scrapping...with my CT work behind me, I've managed to scrap a little for myself :) I really wanted to have a play with my new Crafters Workshop template & these Pink Paislee papers I've had for a while...I was also totally inspired after taking these shots of my gorgeous girl. I loved these pics, sadly you can't see it here, but I've managed to capture the brilliant blue of her eyes...hehe love it!!!

Here's a close up of the dimension that I wanted to create. Haha I've been collecting cardboard out of everything lately ;) this was something that struck me when I was @ the Brisbane Expo & saw the entries for the 'Express Yourself' comp., the layering & dimension on the layouts. I'm a huge fan of Kerryn & she has an incredible knack of doing this, just wish I was able to replicate it! ;)

If you haven't already joined in Scrap the Girls & White with 1 this month, there is still a few days left before the new month & new challenges :)

Thanks for stopping by & as I've said before...a huge thank you for all your lovely comments, they do bring a smile to my face! :) x

More scrapping to share...

I'm loving the school holidays & this renewed scrapping desire...

I've managed to finish off those challenge layouts that have missed the end of month & been left lonely & neglected :) gotta love that!
This first one I believe was for Scrap the Boys challenge, don't remember the criteria, but know it had something to do with age & likes :) This was mostly done, just needed the title stuck down & I ended up adding cardstock to the base & some extra misting.

This was for a KIU minimalist challenge.

'Super Cool Dude' is a layout I started last night, playing with my new Crafter's Workshop template (hehe starting to get a good collection of thoses) & stamping with black embossing powder! Loving this as much as the white one :)

Thanks for stopping by & huge thank you for all your lovely comments...they truely do mean so much to me :) x

Having fun...

...with random personal scrapping! Over the last week or so I have been playing, just not for any challenges. I've been finding that I'm not scrapping the photos that I have printed because they don't suit criteria, etc & I was losing drive as I was not scrapping the stories that I wanted to tell. Don't get me wrong...I absolutely love all the challenges around the place, just needed to step away from the challenge criteria & actually look at the photos & products for a bit. ;)

Here's what I've been up to...

I love the last layout, very simple, but I love white on kraft! I've yet to find a good white ink, but here I've heat embossed in white which has given a strong white colour...love it!

Thanks for stopping by & huge, huge thanks for all your lovely comments!!! I do love to read them...they put an instant smile on my face :) x

For those on school holidays like me...enjoy!

Scrap the Girls!

This months STG challenge is brought to you by one of the new creative team...
Leonie Neal-Dawson, drawing inspiration from P!nk's Greatest Hits album. Also to choose any song title or lyrics as your heading or part of your journaling.

This is my take on the challenge...it had to be pink ;) & I loved the b&w element of the album. I also put to good use some of the techniques that I learnt with the gorgeous Louise Nelson & her fab class at Brisbane Expo.

Here's a close up...I'm rather pleased with the results of this layout.

The Creative Team have some gorgeous inspiration for you here.

Thanks for stopping by & huge thanks for all your lovely comments, I really do appreciate them x

WW1 July Challenge!

Wow, can you believe we are halfway through the year!!! It's certainly zooming along a little too fast for me!
Though you gotta love a new month & new challenges to sink your creative teeth into :)

This months challenge for White With 1 is

White + Aqua / Teal + Chipboard

This is my take on the challenge...loved playing with my new Prima mask :)

Here's a close up of the chipboard which I inked white & then kindy glitz on the flower bud. Had a gorgeous photo of the sparkle, but it's been lost somewhere along the line :( but you get the idea ;)

Some gorgeous inspiration from the Creative Team here.

More layouts to upload soon...thanks for stopping by. Huge thanks for your lovely comments, I really do appreciate each & every one of them x
