Layouts to share...

'The Butterfly' layout is one of those 'just because' moments...as much as I love all the challenges around the place, it's sometimes fun to just play with no extra criteria in mind. I enjoyed pulling out various stamps for this one...the Kaisercraft set & Tim Holtz stamps I've had for ages, but hadn't had a chance to use.

'Dare to dream' is for the 123 Challenge of light/medium blue; to/too/two; doilies. Pulled out some very old papers & rub-on's for this :)

Have you checked out the new forum Chat with Charm ??? I'm finding it brilliant to get to know all those 'familar faces' :) it's a very friendly bunch & certainly very inspiring!

Sadly I've aggravated an old neck injury, so there is not much chatting or scrapping from me at the moment :( I'm thinking my 'word' for 2011 should have been heal, rather than nurture ;)

Thanks for stopping by & a huge thank you for all your lovely comments...they are certainly appreciated & enjoyed :) x

Happy scrapping!

WW1

Absolutely loved the criteria for this months WW1 - white + bright pink + artisan shapes.

LOL, although I did have a couple of false starts, so now have a few backgrounds for future layouts...hehe think I had that mental picture in my head that simply wasn't matching what I was doing ;) Anyhow, this is the final layout...

Had to include some pink glimmer misting with those gorgeous Prima masks & the very lovely Pink Paislee sweetness papers. Can't believe my little baby is now 15 yrs old...time is flying! :)
Thanks for stopping by...your lovely comments are always appreciated :) they certainly bring a smile to my face x

You Capture - Body parts!

This weeks You Capture is body parts :)

I love eyes (LOL completely freaked out by anything icky to do with them, but love them), so had to photograph my family's eyes! Already got a layout forming in my head with these photos...was keen to see the differences up close ;) My hubby had the most brilliant blue eyes when I met him, sadly years of smoking has dulled them, but as time goes on without the demon stuff...I think the colour is slowly coming back!

Check out everyone else's body parts here, there are certainly some brilliant photos! :)

Happy scrapping!

Managed some scrapping for a challenge over @ Scrapbooking Top 50 for Sue's monthly challenge. The challenge was to get messy & go grunge...something Sue is very good at! The other criteria was one word title, book or newspaper.
This is my take on the challenge...the last few months have made me realise how important it is to take more family shots, including all of us ;) I usually hide behind the camera! It's rather hard to get the five of us in...LOL I certainly need more practice, or longer arms! I converted these photos to sepia because later I realised my son had his bright orange popper right in the middle of the photo...hehe it was a little distracting!!!

Thanks for stopping by & as always, your lovely comments are appreciated! They do put a smile on my face...thanks! x

You Capture.

I'm keen to improve my photography skills & was reminded about this blog while blog hopping the other day, so thought I would make the effort to join in.

LOL I'm already a little behind...last week was on 'technology', which was a tough one...already there were some really fab shots that people had done! I wanted to do something different & meaningful to me. I ended up taking a shot of the Wii Fit, which is something I'm getting back into...but the week got away from me without uploading it! Can you believe how difficult it is to take an interesting photo of a white box!!!...there is loads of really brilliant photos from that other participants, I can see I'm going to gain a lot from these people :)

Thanks for stopping by :)

I've been scrapping :)

First up is this months KIU challenge, using the quote 'there is no greater gift than today' in your title or jounaling! I used the very gorgeous Pink Paislee 'Queen Bee' range for this layout. Also making great use of my Heidi Swapp 'today' stamp at the moment, which I stamped in ink before embossing.

Also did some dry embossing on the flower & diecut under the title to add some texture.

This layout I completed & showed off last week, has been waiting to be put away, but there was something not quite right about it...so I added a layer of red tulle to the flower.

I think it balances the layout much better than before :)

Also made a 50th birthday card for a friend, which was a huge hit...mainly because of the 'silly' photos hidden inside ;)

Thanks for stopping by & huge thanks for all your lovely comments...I really do appreciate them x
Happy scrapping!!!

Scrap the Girls ~ March challenge.

I absolutely loved the 'She' quotes by Kobi Yamada for this months Scrap the Girls challenge. Check out the list of quotes here as the title & inspiration for this months layout!

'She just has this way of brightening the day' was perfect...

Here is a close up of the 2Crafty chipboard sprayed with glimmermist & then glimmerglam...sadly the photo still doesn't do it justice.

Thanks for stopping by...your lovely comments are much appreciated :)
