123 Challenge Blog - March challenge.

Hello...here is the March challenge over @ 123 Challenge Blog!

Here's my take on the challenge...

I used a stencil as a stamp & heat embossed the background. Also embossing the from & the lips on my splat. I used dry embossing the created texture on my red matting. I also heat embossed the thickers lettering...haha maybe not the best decision as they don't really cope well ;) we did have a bit of shrinkage!

You can see the challenge HERE.
Thanks for stopping by, as always...a huge, huge thank you for all your lovely comments! I do appreciate each & every one of them x

Scrapping catchup!

Last month vanished in a flash, so much so, I haven't shared some of the layouts completed at retreat last month :)

I think I had the colours from last months Kraft+ challenge in mind when I did this one...totally loved them & they worked perfectly with this photo I snapped one morning. How gorgeous is this wood veneer word by Heidi Swapp...I had to buy the pack simply for the words ;)

This background was inspired by Christin & her gorgeous watercolour backgrounds. It's fun to simply play...never really knowing how the background will turn out.

This last one, again...simply for fun. All 3 layouts I've used Kaisercraft paper pads, that's all I took to retreat for patterned paper. I've got such a collection of paper pads, it's great to use them & it's so easy with the range, you know it will all co-ordinate. Again, one of the Heidi Swapp words which I've painted.

Kraft+ March Challenge!

Wow, wow, wow...we had a brilliant response to our 1st challenge over @ Kraft+ last month, so fabulous to see! :) I'm sure you'll enjoy this months challenge too, it's certainly a gorgeous one! I love the variety of everyone's take on the sketch...so fabulous!

Our all that glitters sketch + sequins/glitter/gold/sparkles/bling...love it!

When I read sequins/glitter/gold & sparkles, I knew instantly which photo I wanted to use. Whom better than the 'queen of sequins, gold & sparkles' ;) Sadly the photography doesn't do the shimmer & sparkles justice here with the use of 'mega-flake' in the background, lots of glitter & sparkle everywhere.
Hop on over to the Kraft+ blog HERE where you'll find a feast for your eyes...there is certainly something to inspire you here.

Show us Your Stuff March Challenge!

Yikes! I can't believe we are in March already...seriously where did February go????

This months challenge over @ Show us Your Stuff is a brilliant quote challenge by Chloe, who is also this months sponsor with her gorgeous Rainbow Splendour goodies.

This quote simply evokes love & happiness to me, so instantly thought of my kids...here's what I did.

My background is a mix of watercolour paints, mist, stamping & stenciling with distress ink. My handmade crocheted flower was a gift from one of my gorgeous retreaters...thank you Peg so much!

Check out the rest of the teams gorgeous creations HERE...I do hope you'll join us this month, just remember your handmade item...too easy!
