Personal scrapping!

Yesterday I indulged in some 'personal scrap therapy'...hehe, I was going to say it's cheaper than the regular avenues, but looking at my stash of products ;) maybe not! But it is certainly good for the soul...
I've poured out my thoughts & feelings on the back of this page, then went ahead with the layout, creating the background with glimmermist & masks, which I'm loving at the moment!

Here is a close up of my new Tim Holtz stamps...hmmm, they are just divine :) loving all the phases & of course the butterflies, simply couldn't wait to play with them!

Thanks for stopping by :) as always, huge thanks for all your lovely comments, they do bring a smile on my face...can't tell you how much that means to me right now x
Happy scrapping & enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Happy Easter!

Hope everyone is enjoying the Easter break :)

Here's some challenges over @ Top 50. I made a bold statement at the beginning of the month that I would get all 3 done...2 down ;)
This 1st one is for Vick's challenge of single photo; tree; word 'together'. After reading Kerryn's blog regarding her trying to make the most of her stamps, I decided to have a play too! Didn't work out exactly as I had pictured...will certainly need further practice ;)

* Post edited, hehe forgot to add the bird to layout...that comes from having too many things on the go ;) This bird was given to me by my gorgeous friend Michelle, been saving it for something special & a photo of my kids & I is pretty special to me :)

The 2nd one is for Anthea's challenge of randomness, paint & large title. I created the background with masking & glimmermist, then some paint, thought is suited the 'kindy' theme...hehe certainly my hands looked that way afterwards! I also used a 'random' piece of cdstk under photo & some mesh.

Thanks for stopping by :) As always, huge thank you for your lovely comments...I love reading them & really do appreciate them x

April 123 Challenge!

Managed to get some scrapping done the other day, the real trick is getting on the computer to upload it...hehe the disadvantages of school holidays & having to share your toys ;)

This layout is for the 123 Challenge which was to use Lime green; the word 'really' & fabric. I instantly knew which photo to use...colour matching was then the fun bit!

Here is a close up of my fabric flower...I learnt how to create this through the lovely Sonia, who taught us all, at one of her Forever Always retreats.

Thanks for stopping by...& thank you for all your lovely comments, they are very much appreciated :)

Blog Challenges!

Managed to scrap over the weekend...hehe it's still a bit of 'pleasure & pain' experience! The pleasure is to be scrapping again, but I'm still in a lot of discomfort...I'm really struggling with my fine motor skills, hence still no journaling for the moment! ;) Grrr, I'm also really struggling with the mouse & finding it very difficult on the computer...especially when my blog spacing isn't doing what I want??? I don't know if anyone else has that problem? LOL as much as I try, I cannot create a new margin here ;) ........................................... My layout 'Pure Indulgence' is for WW1 challenge of white + olive green + twine. Simply did a bit of misting & stamping for this one...my twine is in the ribbon under the title. 'Backyard bubble fun' is for KIU & their 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 challenge this month. Had a bit of fun creating the mask for the circle background & stamping over the top...rather pleased with how it turned out!

Here is a close up of my glimmer glam bird & stamped background.

Thanks for stopping by...have a great week. A huge thank you for all your lovely comments, they do mean so much to me :) x

Scrap The Girls!

Scrap The Girls challenge for April is up!!! LOL I can't believe another month has gone by!!! It's all a little scary how quickly this year is moving by! Though I'm rather looking forward to the upcoming school holidays ;) Anyway, back to the challenge... I loved this picture inspiration, so many thing to draw from :) Here is my take on the challenge. I drew inspiration from the colours, scalloped circle, butterflies, ribbon & tag. Yet to do the journaling for these super cute photos of my youngest daughter :) how quickly they grow up!!! Looking forward to seeing everyone's creations for this months challenge...have fun with it!
