Show us your Stuff June mid month reveal.

Yikes, I can't believe we are already half way through June! Best bit about this is that I can share my layout for this month's challenge over at Show us your Stuff!
A reminder of the mood board, which was created by me...I do hope you like it!

I searched the internet for the inspiration & I instantly fell in love with the watercolour butterfly, so that is where I drew my inspiration! LOL though it ended up being more a 'lift' of that image...it certainly wasn't the intention, but just the way it happened. I guess that image was very much in my mind.

This layout was planned out in my head for weeks before I got to play...though things didn't exactly go to plan once I sat down. I didn't have anymore music paper left, so again searched the internet for one I liked & printed it off. I had the HS butterfly mask in mind for this too...I though it would be perfect with the watercolours as it stuck down on the paper rather than the modern stencils, as I didn't want it to 'bleed' under the stencil. But after searching & completely reorganising my scrap room for hours, I realised that maybe it was one I didn't actually have.

Here are a couple of close-ups...I simply love these flairs from Flutterby Designs, who are this months sponser.

I had finished this layout at retreat, hence the glass beads...a touch of Louise inspired scrapping ;)

Head HERE to see the gorgeous creations from the rest of the team. I do hope this challenge is on your 'to do' list this month...still got plenty of time to play.
Thanks for stopping by. As always, a huge, huge thank you for all your lovely comments...I do appreciate each & every one of them. Especially the time you take to leave me one x.
Happy scrapping!

Retreat scrapping.

Hello again! Last weekend I was lucky enough to spend it away at retreat...every scrapbookers dream right ;) Here is some of my completed layouts...

This one was for Scrap Around the World's May challenge. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to upload it, but never mind...I simply loved the inspiration!

Obviously I was drawn to the pinks & blue of this mood board & those 100's&1000's...totally gorgeous! I also love the '@SoSocial' stamps I bought through Stampin' Up, as you can see below. Haha gotta love a hashtag ;)

I was extra lucky to sit next to the very talented & gorgeous Louise...drool, I could have watched her play all day. She is incredible!!! I ended up buying some Prima wire (as well as other signature Lou things) to play with. Initially I was very conscious to not copy her directly, so created a heart for this rarity of a photo of hubby & I together.

I had fun creating in the smaller A4 size, so stuck with it...this was perfect for these smaller photos that I had taken for Instagram. Here you can see a greater Lou inspired play with the wire ;) LOL I was sooo tempted to scatter sequins here & there on this one, but went with the star stamp instead.

123 Challenge Blog!

Good morning! Sorry for the delay in getting my layout for 123 Challenge Blog up...we've had dreaded computer issues. Arrgh, you become so dependent on them...certainly a love/hate relationship!

Anyway...the challenge over @ 123 Challenge Blog this month is...

My take on the challenge...I love this photo of my family mid laughter, it's so natural & real.

Here's a close-up of the gold...which I'm absolutely loving at the moment after my meeting with the lovely Heidi Swapp. It's great to use in the Big Shot with various dies as shown here.

& just to prove there is stitching on my layout ;) Haha I did quite a bit, unfortunately I ended up covering most of it up.

Check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the team HERE. I do hope you'll join in this month.

Kraft Plus!

Hello June & the 1st day of Winter! This year is certainly flying past fast!!! Over at Kraft + we have another gorgeous challenge for you.

The criteria is kraft background, circles & animal print. This is my take on this challenge.

I discovered I didn't have any animal print at all in my stash, so hit the internet & found these which were perfect as they were already in the circle design...too easy!
Check out the amazing layouts from the rest of the team HERE...each month they simply blow me away with their creations, as do our entrants!
