Last chance entries...

Can't believe end of month is almost upon us...

This only gives you a couple of days to get your layouts in for Scrap The Girls March challenge which was super easy with CELEBRATIONS! With so many things to celebrate, your options are wide open for this challenge.

& for White With 1...white + kraft + layering.

March has been a crazy month for me, I'm hoping things slow down a bit next month!

March madness...

...I seriously don't know where this month is disappearing to!!! Haha I certainly don't feel like I've got a lot to show for it...personally or creatively! :/ I've been creatively stunted by an extra lounge in our family room, which basically has me cornered with very little movement :( There is huge desire to scrap, but as soon as I sit...I want out of there!
I did manage to stay seated last night & scrap...starting with this months Scrap The Boys, where you had to use 'life is good' as title, include red & handwriting.

In creating the above layout, I had the glimmer mists out & contunued to play (LOL spreading out in the sunroom)...creating bases for future layouts! :) Feels so good :)

I hope you too are managing to have a creative weekend! ;)
I also want to say a huge thank you for your words of encouragement with my photos on my last post...I can't say how much it meant to me x

Inspiration found...

Last month @ 'Our Retreat' I got to meet the very lovely & amazing Lisa Oxley! On top of that, I was lucky enough to sit opposite her during the weekend & thoroughly loved watching her work! Her passion, generosity & enthusiasm for this craft was simply inspiring...& she is just the most beautiful person!!!!
She very kindly passed on some photos she took on the weekend...I'm very grateful as I certainly had a lot of fun creating this layout, using her as inspiration! :)

She has also inspired me to get out there taking more photos, as I loved her 'eye' & again, that enthusiasm with the camera. Hehe I've got this lovely expensive camera which I don't use a lot because I'm too scared of damaging it...but it kind of defeats the idea of having it ;) I've been trying for weeks, but this weekend I got myself & the girls down to the beach for the evening 'magic' hour, with the aim to get those reflections that I so love about Lisa's photos...this is one of my fav's from yesterday.

The next 2 are at sunrise this morning...I'm loving the textures, as well as the lovely golden colour from that time of day.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their weekend :)

Thanks for stopping by...& a huge thank you for all your lovely comments :) I really do appreciate each & every one of them x

Scrap The Girls March challenge!

This months challenge over @ Scrap The Girls is...Celebrations.
My layout is a celebration on so many levels ;) haha anyone out there with a teenage girl, who's been through the lead up to formal, will understand!!! I based my layout on the old Amex ad...listing the cost of everything & the 'priceless' moment of having a happy & confident girl :) LOL though I shudder at the thought that I'm going to go through all that again in less than 2 years...with both girls!!!

Check out the gorgeous variety of 'celebrations' from the CT here. Looking forward to seeing everyones take on this months challenge!
Thanks for stopping by...& a huge thank you for all your lovely comments :) x

White With 1

WW1 March challenge is white + kraft + layering.
I loved creating this layout of my beautiful grandmother on her wedding day.

I've created layers by using various doilies & the packaging from Prima flowers, as well as various music sheets & the addition of flowers.

The creative team have produced some gorgeous inspiration for this challenge, check them out here. I look forward to seeing your entries :)

Thanks for stopping by & a huge thank you for all your lovely comments...I really do appreciate each & every one! x
