ArtStacks Designs!

I'm sure by now, you have seen the gorgeous new range from ArtStacks Designs, by the incredible artist Lisa Oxley. I'll confess, I'm a huge, huge fan of Lisa and her gorgeous creations! I've been lucky enough to do several of her classes over the years. She has a relaxed vibrancy in both work and personality, and I like to consider her a friend, so was super excited when I heard about this range.

There are two packs to choose from...'Bright & Bold' and 'Floral Fetish'. Just look at that colour, best to pick up both!!! ;)

I've used a mix of both packs on my projects. The 1st art journal page was created firstly using paint ad stencils in the background. Then adding torn up strips of the 'easy tear paper' and torn strip of 'tissue paper'. Then adding the cut out rainbow and girl, then finally the punched butterfly and title. Final step was edging with a black 'All pencil', plus a bit of journaling along the girl.

The 2nd page, again used a combination of both packs and also included an 'altered ancestor' from the Lorraine Haight Moraine Corestack. The background was created with a mix of paint and gloss sprays, it had started as a bit of a 'mop up' page. I then covered the whole background with matte medium, before layering the tissue paper down. Adding my cut-out figures, heart and flower. Final addition was a title from the 'Faces & Figures' pack, which I had sprayed pink.

Pop over to the ArtStacks Designs page to see the rest of the teams gorgeous creations using these packs, including the designer herself...you can find them all HERE.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Happy creating!

March K+ Challenge!

Hello, once again, we have another month behind us...time is as usual, flashing past us fast!

The good news of a new month, is a new challenge and Kraft+ Challenges have another beauty for you this month.

Who doesn't love a frame or two ;)

I have to confess, art play has been very limited for me of late...life has simply been crazy, so once again, this month was quick and simple, which means art journaling. Super easy doing quick and simply when using Dina Wakley's 6x6 Kraft journal...it's almost cheating! But as long as you are creating, that's the main thing.

After creating a background with a mix of paint, gloss sprays and stamping, I used one of Dina Wakely's chipboard shapes to trace out the shape on her collage collective cardstock. I'm hoping she brings these chipboard shapes out in a stencil, as love using them. I used very old 'slide' frames overlapping around my girl.

I'm hoping with a bit more time, I'll get to play on this challenge again, as I have loads of frames...it's probably about time I used them.

What will you do with this challenge? I do hope you'll join us. Pop over HERE to see the gorgeous inspiration from the rest of the team. They amaze me each and every month.

Happy crafting!
