Blog Award!

I'm completely blown away to receive this from the lovely Sue, & have to say a huge 'thank you' to her xx. The feeling is mutual ;)

Here is the rules that go with this award...
1. Put the Swap Sisters Bonny Blog Award on my blog.
2. Share 5 thing about myself.
3. Pass the award onto 5 other Bonny Blogs.
4. Add links to my 5 chosen Bonny Blog winners.
5. Let them know they have been chosen to win the Swap Sisters Bonny Blog Award by leaving a comment on their blog.

The 5 things about myself...
1. I still don't know what I want to do when I grow up! I was very lucky with jobs, but kind of fell into a career without ever chosing to do it!!!
2. I have a thing about eyes, can't watch or hear anything slightly icky to do with them...hehe I'll never be a contact wearer!
3. I love the beach...the feel of the sand & the sound of the surf, pure peace!
4. I'm a shocking hoarder...sorry mum!
5. I accidently walked off the end of a pier when I was young...& if that wasn't embarrassing enough, my dad jumped in after me!!! (It was really shallow water!)

Now the tricky bit...nominating only 5 people who inspire me! There are so many that do this, but here goes...
1. Michelle
2. Sonia
3. Belinda
4. Gigi
5. Lou (I know she's already received this award, but it simply seemed wrong to not include her!)

Thank you again...& to everyone that takes the time to post on my blog, I love reading all your comments! xx

Weekend Scrapping!

'She loves Spongebob' is for Scrap the Girls challenge. How could I not scrap my 14 yr old's love of Spongebob???

'Yummy baby cakes' is for Em's sketch challenge over @ Scrapboutique. I've had this photo sitting around for ages, nothing seemed to click...till now!

Again over @ Scrapboutique...this card was for Chels card challenge. Stuck to the sketch fairly closely, loved the circle design.

These two cards I made for the neighbours using my very neglected 'Stampin Up' stamps.

Happy scrapping to all!

Becci's flowers...

Are you interested in winning these? I know I would...loving the crocheted flowers at the moment & I certainly haven't learn't to do anything like this!!! To be in with a chance check in here.

Holidays are over!

They certainly disappeared quick, but it will great to get back into routine...& scrapping. My goal for the 2nd half of the year is to spend more 'me' time...for a SAHM I'm very short on time??? There is a lot of challenges this month that I would still like to do.

Here is the last of my holiday scrapping...'Safe' was for the Stash Stomper challenge over @ Scrapboutique. I loved Em's sketch for this, we also had to use new papers, buttons or brads & a chipbrd frame.

Happy scrapping & thanks for your lovely comments...they are always appreciated! :)

Scrapping update...

Also, I have some very exciting news to share in the next few days...keep an eye out! ;)

Yesterday, I had a child-free day, so spent a few hours of blissful scrapping!!! :)
'Baby Gecko' is for KIU & their current challenge of 4-6 photos. It was great to do a multi-photo page for a change.

'Fifteen' is for Sue's challenge over @ Scrapbooking Top 50, which is grunge, song title & a non-scrapping item...hence the washers on my page ;)

I love how the HS paint turned out using my 'lil'chizler' tool (hehe, misplaced the credit card on my mess of a desk). I've left it rather thick in places & the texture is fab.

As always, your lovely comments are appreciated! :)

Happy scrapping!!!

Scrapping...

Sadly, not much to show...school holidays seem to be getting in the way of my scrapping ;)

So excitement is building for the Forever Always retreat coming up next month. If you are needing a few days to yourself, like me, why don't you join us...always loads of inspiration, laughs & food! Here is a sneak of my class layout...

I have managed to scrap today, between bouts on the Wii with the kids (hehe I didn't even win a game!!!).
This layout is for Scrapboutiuqe's Stylist Challenge using a pre-digital photo & 8.5"x11" layout. I took a trip down 'memory lane' & dug out the old photo album & scanned a pic of myself & Pop together.

The next one is for the July 123 Challenge using the word 'passion', dominant colour of red & grunge...perfect for my gorgeous girl!

Happy scrapping!

Forever Always July Sketch.

Here is my layout for the current Forever Always sketch. Hope you'll join in & share with us your take on the sketch.

I haven't been doing much 'personal' scrapping lately, but this is what I have been up to.
I offered to make about 6 oversized cards for my DD & her fellow performers, to give to their teachers as thanks for all their help & support...we are talking about months & months of rehearsals in after school hours. This is just a few of them.

I've also been working on a 50th birthday album for a friend's husband, who celebrated this weekend...I hope he likes it! Can't wait to see it with the photos in! I've used a mix of glimmer mist on the cover, so IRL it has a gorgeous sheen & sparkle.

Happy scrapping everyone!
& to those on school holidays...have a great one!

Forever Always July Sketch.

New month, Beginning of School holidays & New Sketch, let's see lots of entries this month!

Remember when completing our sketches, that you can add or change it up to suit your needs, as long as we can see the bones of the sketch on completion of your entry.
Load your layout into the gallery by midnight, friday 30th of July, to be in the running for a $10 store voucher.
In order to be eligible for a prize, your entry must be created specifically for this Forever Always Challenge & may not be used for any other challenges on any other site.
Check out Kye's inspiration here.

Hoping to have a play with this sketch myself over the weekend.
