Interactive Paper Doll page

Hello! I've been playing with more ArtStacks Packs. This page has been playing on my mind from the moment I received The Dressmaker pack. Did you play with paper dolls as I child? I did. I remember I would design my own paper clothing for my dolls, so I wanted this page to be interactive, so the clothes can come off.

I had previously done an interactive page with Dina Wakley, so with that in mind, I adapted the idea of putting the dolls on folding pieces. Excuse my thumb in the photo and the dress that has slipped...haha at least it proves it moves ;).

Pull down the flap & ...

Close ups to try and show the dimension. The 3 are all on different levels.

Only the feet of the dolls are stuck down, so you can swap the dresses around...if you like ;)

A bit of interactive fun on this one. I hope you like it.

No Drama Llama with ArtStacks

Hello! I'm back again with more ArtStacks Designs, again using some of the Limited Edition Packs for my art journal page. I had started with the ruffle (Dressmaker Pack), this time using it down my page rather than across. I ended up adding two strips of washi tape under it as a base, as well as something else to attach it to.

I thought it looked so cool on the denim page. As I already know the instructions of creating a ruffle, I thought to incorporate that somehow. Initially I was going to cut out the leaf, but once dry, I liked it as it was, so left it as my base. Adding a thin torn edge of the poppies paper (Anemones and Friends) under one side of the ruffle, before adding the figure (Homemaker Pack).

"No Drama Llama" was chosen because I had a bit of an accident with the yellow paint! LOL I'm learning to embrace the accidents, happy or otherwise ;)

Limited Edition - I am Strong by ArtStacks

Hello lovely people, today I'm sharing some more inspiration using the Limited Editions pack from ArtStacks Design...

I started with a background, I then added the ruffle from the 'Dressmaker Pack'. It was super easy to gather and I love the texture it adds without much bulk at all, because it's tissue.

I then punched circles out of the pianola paper from the 'Homemaker Pack', adding some tissue paper flowers from the 'Anemones and Friends Pack' and added the girl from the 'Dressmaker Pack'.

Here's my final art journal page with the addition of a title from the 'Faces and Figures Corestack'. I love that you can create your own sentences with these words...brilliant!

ArtStacks Limited Ediition Packs

Hello all, have you seen the Limited Edition packs from ArtStacks? They certainly are pretty!

I have to confess, I opened both packs at the same time, so have ended up using a little bit from each for my art journal page. I was inspired by the idea of  "Dressmaker" and pulled out my old Tim Holtz dressmaker die and it kind of evolved from there, nothing like what I had in my head, but do they ever turn out as you plan ;)

I started with my 6x6 journal, just for something different, adding acrylic colour to the background. I then added some of the tissue pattern paper. Adding some masking over the top.

I then added some of the tissue paper designs from one of the CoreStacks (Anemones and Friends), roughly colouring it in with Scribble Sticks and adding some random stamping.

Using the gorgeous floral paper from the 'Homemaker' pack and the Tim Holtz die from and my page is basically done.

Here's the finished page with a title from 'Inspirational Words' tissue paper.

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2021!

It's time to celebrate the new year, so break out the bubbles and join us over at Kraft Plus Challenges! This month it's all about the soda bubbles with this month's

COCA-COLA ADVERTS CHALLENGE!

I essentially 'lifted' the left hand side image, I loved the colours and that flourish. The Dina Wakley stencil flourish has been featured in many of my creations of late, but it worked perfectly for this challenge ;) I had created my background with the gel plate and used a Kaszazz splat stencil (you can find it in my Web Store HERE) for my yellow splat and a Tim Holtz dressmaker die for my coke bottle. Though I ended up changing the black to red, simply because I preferred it. The little flowers are actually in purple oxide spray, but they have photographed more white than purple.
