End of month scrapping.

I know I say it every month, but the days & weeks are simply flying past! I haven't crossed off as many challenges as I would have liked for this month, fingers crossed I get off to a better start this coming month.
"She is..." layout is for Scrap the Girls colour challenge of blue, yellow, white & pink. Even with a hint of yellow, I still really struggled with it! ;)

"He is...my hero, my dad" layout was for the final week of the Scrapboutique Postcards comp. This week we were visiting Greenland...I took inspiration from the endless snow with just a hint of colour to create my waves. I kept it very clean & simple to represent my dad & his years of sailing with stitching & tissue paper for the sails & string for the ropes.

It's rather sad that the competition is over, I've really enjoyed the last 6 weeks of challenges. The talent of the girls who participated is awesome!!! Hehe, I've got no chance of winning, but I've certainly had fun!
"Fond memories" is simply scrapping some childhood memories. Also been wanting to scrap with these October Afternoon papers...strangely enough, didn't struggle at all with this yellow???

Happy scrapping!
Hoping everyone is managing to stay warm & dry in this weather.

Weekend scrapping!

I've finally got time to scrap...but first, just showing off what I've managed to do! Hehe...crochet! I used to do this at school, but like most things, gave it away once I joined the 'real world' ;) I've been wanting to get back into it since the last Forever Always Retreat, where Sonia's very clever sister was doing some. Here is the link that I used to create these. Being in video form, I found it very easy to follow.

This layout was for Scrapbooking Top 50's cybercrop, using the movie 'Avatar' poster for inspiration, including 50% blue; headshot; & dots/spots.

Another one for Top 50's cybercrop...this one using 'Alice In Wonderland' as inspiration & including layering; handmade flower & butterfly.

This week for the Postcards comp. over @ Scrapboutique, we are visiting Japan! With the inspiration we also had to include some paper folding. I know I'm out with my countries, but I ended up scrapping my girl in her chinese dress...perfect with this colour combo. Wow, hasn't she grown up!
I created the flower after seeing this...I had actually bought some crepe paper to create my own when I found Tattered Angels crepe ribbon on my trip to Berry!

Thanks for stopping by...as usual, your comments are greatly appreciated! :)
Happy scrapping.

I'm back....

...from a brilliant weekend away with the girls, just what I needed! :)
It was such a crazy week last week, only just managed to get this layout done for the Week 4 - India stop-over, in the Scrapboutique Postcards comp.
I was inspired by the earthy tones; henna tattoos & the bling. These photos of the water dragon that wandered thru our yard seemed perfect to scrap.

Thanks for all your wonderful comments, they are always appreciated! :)
Happy scrapping!

Happy Mothers Day!

Wishing all mums a wonderful day! I've been totally spoilt with breakie in bed, handmade gifts, cards & special purchases. Pancakes for lunch are currently being made...& I've been scrapping ;)
This layout I've used a Tim Holtz mask or rather the outer piece to create this flourish, with a mix of glimmermists...love how it turned out!

Happy scrapping...hope you all manage to squeeze some in today!

Can't forget about my boy...

I've been scrapping a lot of my girls lately, so it's good to do some boy layouts.
This first one is for Scrapboutique, Postcards comp, week 3 visiting USA...New York! My inspiration came from the red, white & blue colour combo & stars from their flag. We also had to use song lyrics...mine are from Stevie Wonder's "you are the sunshine of my life" to create my title.

This next one is for Kraft It Up, creating your own background paper. This worked perfectly for me as I was already playing with the glimmermist & masks. Here I've used the mask as a stamp, then misted over it.

Thanks for visiting, your comments are greatly appreciated. :)
Happy scrapping!

Weekend scrapping...

I spent the weekend having an absolutely lovely time with a couple of Tim Holtz masks & glimmermist...haha, now to put them into layouts! Hopefully I'll have something to share soon.

This photo was printed off for a challenge last month, but I ended up going with new photos (probably good, as I've just found out I won with that layout...hehe, I'm very happy about that ;)). So rather than putting the photo aside...I simply scrapped it! Now to find the time to fully learn my 'not so new' camera! ;)

Happy scrapping!

I'm in lurve...

...with 'Prima flowers' & 'Fancy Pants papers' (hehe, I've always been in love with Fancy Pants ;)). Talk about perfect timing...they arrived just in time for this weeks challenge over @ Scrapboutique, visiting the South of France, with their Postcards comp. Not really a shabby chic girl, so this was certainly different for me, but a lot of fun!

Happy scrapping & enjoy the weekend!
