Having fun...

...creative fun, that is! ;) I'm loving the Echo Park Country Drive range that a very lovely & sweet friend gave me recently...it seems to be featuring in a few of my layouts lately! :)

Here's a close up of my flourish using Crafters mini brocade template & texture paint. After which I added Tattered Angels glimmer glam...love the results. I ended up creating a few extras for cards.

Here is a sneak of another layout completed, which will be shared next month :)

Thanks for stopping by & a huge thank you for your lovely comments, I really do appreciate each & every one of them! x

Slack blogger...

Sorry, one very slack blogger here...in posting & visiting! That will change once the kids are back at school ;) Though, I have been making the effort to 'play' creatively each day, with the very inspiring nudge from the Creative Jumpstart Summit 2012 organised by Nathalie Kalbach! I've been absolutely loving it...the tips & techniques these talented ladies use are simple, yet amazing! The biggest thing I've gained from it is to allow myself to play & experiment...without the expectation of perfection! Haha I'm certainly my own worst critic, as most of us are :)

Here are some of my 'warm up' tags...

I've also started back with my art journal & having lots of fun playing...haha created a few 'ugly' pages which I actually love because of the message behind them :)

'my boyz' I did yesterday, on my 1st kid free day in what feels like forever ;)

'Girls Night Out' I created earlier in the month. Soooo love these papers, I just have to use them rather than treasure them ;)

Thanks for stopping by & a huge thank you for your lovely comments :) I really do appreciate each & every one of them x

End of year scrapping!

Late last year (hehe seems so bizarre saying that) I won this fabulous simple stories 25 days of Christmas pack from Scrapboutique during their Passion 4 Fashion comp! :) I absolutely LOVE it!...the colours, patterns, everything...thank you so much to everyone who voted for me!!! :)

I loved playing with it...I chose this piece as I could also use my new houndstooth template ;) This layout records my daughters favourite presents for the year. I'm looking forward to using more, just got to print off more pics.

I also wanted to make use of some very old Basic Grey papers, which I have loads of...

I actually started with this layout, after almost a month of not scrapping...hehe think I got a bit lost!!! I'm unsure about it...hehe there are elements I do like, the photo makes up for everything ;) but there is something???

Haven't managed to scrap this year :( socially too busy, but I did sign up for Creative Jumpstart Summit 2012 organised by Nathalie Kalbach...all I can say is...wow, wow, wow!!! Hopefully hiccups like above won't happen so often...& if they do, who cares! ;)

Thank you for stopping by & a huge thank you for all your lovely comments :) they do mean so much to me x

Scrap the Girls...

Check out the brilliant new Creative Team for Scrap the Girls, as well as this months challenge of...

...Monochromatic!

minimal black & white allowed.

I personally love the 'scrap therapy' side of scrapbooking! As well as recording the fun memories of life, it's also therapeutic to me to scrap the 'darker' side...which I have done here with my layout "Moody Blues", after watching my youngest daughter 'crack' under the pressure of bullying. My journaling fills the back of the layout...this patterned paper (Rouge de Garance) was perfect as the reverse side was lined for easy writing.
I'm hoping with a new year upon us, this is all behind us...fingers crossed!

Check out the new CT & their gorgeous creations here.

Happy scrapping!

WW1 January Challenge...

Happy New Year !!!
Wishing everyone a fabulous, 'dreams come true' 2012 !

With the New Year comes a new month of challenges :)
I absolutely LOVED this months challenge over @ WW1...

...white + lime + buttons

This is a close up...I had a bit of fun with the 'big shot', embossing & flower creating (the green fabric one).

Check out the CT gorgeous creations here.

Also letting you know...you have to the 7th of January to complete & link up your December layouts.

Looking forward to another year of sharing with you...as always, a huge thank you for all your lovely comments :) they really do mean so much to me! x

Merry Christmas!!!

As usual, time is getting away from me & sadly my time for scrapping is desperately lacking! Hopefully once the festivities have settled, I'll get back to it. Hehe I've got a few new Crafters templates to play with ;)
I have managed to play with the camera & my new 50mm lens...bokeh is something I've itching to experiment with for a while. Here's my attempt last night!

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas full of laughter, love & loads of yummy food ;) whatever way you celebrate the day!!! A huge thank you for all your support this year! :)

9th of December...already!!!

Arrrgh, this month is already hurtling along too quick for my liking...it's been filled with drama's, excitements, Presentation Awards, Christmas parties, the normal chaos...& sadly for me NO SCRAPPING!!! Wouldn't it be lovely to have a 'pause' button...just so I can tidy the house & enjoy some creative time without feeling guilty ;)

This month @ Scrap the Girls the challenge is baby pics.
It was nice to go back to an old photo...this is my youngest girl who is 7 days old here, being held by my gorgeous little sister.

The CT have created some beautiful examples of this challenge, you must check them out...here.

At White With 1 the challenge is WHITE + CHRISTMAS THEMED + CHRISTMAS PHOTO.

We were to get inspiration from a paper range...mine came from Kaisercraft's Silly Season. On the opposite side of the dot paper was brilliant christmas words in red...I simply loved the look of it & what a great excuse to use all those word stamps I have! :)

Here is a close up of the white embossed flower & title detail, using up a lot of bling.

WW1 have also announced their new CT...pop over & check them out & while you are there, see all the girls amazing creations for this month...you'll find them here.

Thanks for stopping by! As always...a huge thank you for all your lovely comments :) I really do appreciate the time you take to leave me one & they do leave a smile on my face! x
