Kraft It Up!

The mid month inspiration is up at KIU, so I can reveal my layout for this months challenge of recycling some of the product packaging on your layout with the kraft. Check out the CT reveal here.

Here I've used the plastic packaging in the 'big shot' to create the alpha's, which I then stamped & dabbed with paint. I've also used the card from Prima packaging & the product tag on Jenni Bowlin journal tags.

Looking forward to seeing your interpretation of this KIU challenge....also, don't forget the 123 Challenge for the month, great prizes up for grabs on both challenge sites.

Thank you for stopping by...as always, a huge thank you for all your lovely comments, I really do appreciate each & every one of them x

March challenges...

I managed to scrap over the Easter weekend...yay for that!!! As most of you would know, I LOVE creating backgrounds...totally love my mists & masks! :) I've always been in awe of the lovely Louise & her gorgeous backgrounds, more recently discovered Kim Price & while I had some 'quiet' computer time...watched the amazing Dyan Reaveley doing some demo's on the Ranger site. Hence I've been playing...

First up is a layout for STG, sadly I missed the end of month...but their challenge was a colour one using black, white & green. Here I've used Dyan's technique of 'ghosting' with the dylusions ink, I love the subtle effect.

This next one is for STB...so very cool that we have a couple of extra days to get our entries in :) Their challenge for March was using 2 photos 6x4 or smaller, chipboard, washi tape, mists/paint...hehe, my dream challenge ;)

I'm loving these wood veneers by Studio Calico, they are appearing on a lot of my layouts recently...I'm going to run out very soon.
Thanks for stopping by...as always, a huge thank you for your lovely comments, they really do mean a lot to me x

New month, new challenges...

The best thing about a new month is the new challenges that you get to sink your teeth into ;)

April's challenge over @ 123 is...

Colour = Duck Egg Blue, Word = Today, Technique = White Wash

This is my take on the challenge...I loved creating it, it's something a little different for me! I'm not really a soft pastels girl, but with the white wash it only seemed fitting. I love how this turned out.

Check out the other CT's brilliant creations here

The Kraft It Up challenge for April is...
This month we want to recycle some of that product packaging and use it on your layout, the only must have is that you use Kraft Cardstock or Kraft Patterned Paper!

Here is a sneak of my layout, as the full reveal is up later in the month, but you must check out the gorgeous creations from the CT here...they will certainly inspire you!

Thanks for stopping by...as always, a huge thank you for all your lovely comments, they do mean so much to me x

WW1

Hello...how quickly has this month gone!!! I've written down so many fabulous challenges that I wanted to complete, but have only found time to complete one :/ guess I should be grateful for that one ;)

The challenge over @ WW1 was white + brown + doodling, here's my take on it...

I had an idea of what I wanted to do for this challenge, but time was a limiting factor last night, so this layout ended up a bit of a spur of the moment one...even the photo was a left over.

Thanks for stopping by...as always, thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a message. I appreciate each & every one of them x

Weekend scrapping!

During the week I was so inspired to create a background after seeing this amazing layout by Kim Price! I'm a huge fan of her gorgeous work & especially her backgrounds, so late one night I played :) I got to finish the layout over the weekend. It doesn't compare to her creations, but I had a lot of fun creating...

Another layout created a couple of weeks ago, which I hadn't shared...trying to make the use of my much neglected chipboard. Who else hoards favourite stuff for special? It can't just be me???

I promise you that I'm not meaning to show favouritism for one child, who seems to be featured a LOT in my scrapping of late...it's simply that she allows me to take more photos & I'm making the most of it while it lasts ;)
Thanks for stopping by...as always, a huge thank you for all your lovely comments :) I really do appreciate each & every one of them x
