Slack blogger catch-up!

As I said in my last post, I've been super slack at the blogging lately. I have been lucky enough to had a couple of weekends away @ retreats over the past couple of months, so it's not like I'm lacking stuff to share, so here's a start.

These photo's weren't the best, slightly fuzzy due to not using a flash & a pocket camera, but I love the pics! I printed them smaller than normal so it wasn't as noticeable.

September Challenges!

Yep...another month is upon us! Good news is it's also Spring...yay! I have to say Spring is my favourite season...uplifting, fresh & new beginnings :)

I loved this challenge of pink, sweet & florals...this is what I came up with.

I absolutely adored these papers from My Minds Eye...to easy to put a layout together!

Kraft It Up!

This month over @ KIU we want to see 'your own style'...obviously on kraft paper ;)

Funny, this challenge had me questioning 'what' my style actually was??? I guess I don't see myself with a 'distinct' style like some of my favourite scrappers. I tend to be a bit random depending on mood & what I'm working with. Here I've used my 'go to' techniques with are layered templates & misting. Oh & you can't forget the doily & the single folded flower...can't see myself ever running out of either, I seem to have a never-ending supply ;)

123 Challenge!

A new month, a new challenge...this month over @ 123 Challenge blog the criteria is...

This is my take using a very precious photo of my great grandmother. I also used this gorgeous frame from 2Crafty that I've been hoarding for a while...I love the look of the crackle on it.

YSMY Challenge!

Last month I watched the 'You Show Me Yours' challenge, it was fantastic to see how everyone scrapped the same photo & thought it was such a brilliant idea! Haha when I saw this months pic, there was absolutely no stopping me...who could resist the very gorgeous & dreamy Hugh Jackman ;)

This is layout, which I might add took a long time...too much gazing ;) I started it at retreat the previous weekend & one of the ladies looking from afar asked 'is that your husband?'...LOL I wish!!!

After seeing Sanna's brilliant tutorial with distress stains over @ ScrapFriends, I've wanted to try this out. Both these layouts are inspired by her background.

Colour Challenge...

I'm loving all the challenges over @ ScrapFriends...the inspiration, step-by-step's, etc. are truly amazing! I've wanted to join in for a while now, but that time factor has been an issue...but, I can finally say I've taken the plunge & made the time!
