Hello! When I saw the moodboard over at Jot Magazine I simply had to have a play! I also adore the digital stamp from Jodie York at Polka Dot Creative that I included that too.
Here is my take on the challenge...
Sorry for the poor photography of the layout, it is on white cardstock but here looks slightly off ;) I used water colour paints & heat embossed stamping over the top.
Thanks for stopping by. As always, a huge thank you for your lovely comments...I do appreciate the time you take to leave me one x

Show us your Stuff mid month reveal!
Yikes, we are already half way through the month! Someone press 'pause' please...the good thing about this is a new installment of inspiration over at Show us your Stuff.
A reminder of the challenge which was this fabulous sketch...it was so easy to play with :)
My take on this...
This photo is of my beautiful Grandma, it's just sad that they didn't take photos of the couple together??? I would have loved a photo of the event with my Pop as well. Though she told me this wasn't actually taken on their wedding day, but afterwards. It makes you appreciate the portability of cameras today...haha these days with phone cameras, we miss nothing ;)
I adored my Grandma...she was the one that took care of me when I was sick, she was an excellent baker, making the most delicious treats & she loved to sew...& best of all, she always made me feel loved! Because she was an avid dressmaker, I've included the thread, lace & dressmakers pattern behind the photo.
My handmade item is once again the flair from Flutterby Designs...sorry, I will try to come up with something different next time ;) but I do love them!
Pop over HERE to see the gorgeous creations from the rest of the team. If you haven't joined us as yet, I hope this challenge is now on your 'to do' list.

Dylusions Paint...yum!
Hello again...I was asked by the lovely Michelle Thomas of Scrapbook Divas to have a play with Dylusions paint, lucky me! These paints were created especially for Dyan Reaveley & since she is the queen of art journaling, this is where I started. This paint is thinner than usual paint, making it great for layering, so I stuck down some book paper before painting with 'squeezed orange' using a foam brush. It spread very easily & quickly without using a huge amount of paint.
Then with various stencils & different colours, I simply layered them. The paint dried super quick, which is brilliant, no need for a heat gun! It also didn't buckle the paper, or bleed into the next page (even down the spine)...again, brilliant for art journaling.
For my next journal page, I applied various colours of the paint with a brayer...again, drying very quickly. After using texture paste with my Prima 'Sharon' stencil, I used 'bubblegum pink' on the butterflies & partially wiped if off to still show the stencilling.
Next I thought I would try it on a couple of layouts.
I used a brayer & stamps to add colour on this layout above. Also using the paint to colour the alphas.
I love the vibrancy of these paints, especially on the black background. For this layout I applied the paint with a palette knife, which did take some drying time as I applied it quite thick. Even though I applied it thicker, it still didn't buckle or warp the paper.
I loved this paint & will certainly be adding more to my collection :) Pop over to the Scrapbook Divas shop to check them out.

This is what I came up with...
It was fun to scrap a really old photo of my son. He had grabbed his sisters glasses & simply thought he was very cool! This photo still makes me smile.
I have to confess, I did struggle with 'beige' but managed to find some very old cardstock...haha I believe it's Creative Memories! LOL that's embarrassingly old...haha seriously, I'm not a hoarder!!! The patterned paper is also rather old, so it was brilliant to put both to use. I created the banner using one of Heidi Swapp's banners & tracing it...this is one of my favourites of hers, think I'll always have to keep it as a template.

Kraft+ Challenge!
Eeck! May...seriously!!! The brilliant part of being a new month is new challenges & this months challenge over at Kraft+ is outstanding!
I simply adored it...& this is what I came up with.
I took inspiration from the colours, I loved the orange & green. Also the twine, the flowers & the book paper.
Haha I couldn't find my beads, so settled on a hint of microbeads in the centre of the metal flower.
Since my morning with Heidi Swapp, I'm loving the gold cardboard...sadly the shimmer & shine doesn't show up in the photo. This die is one from Kaisercraft...love it!
Pop over HERE to check out the very amazing creations from the rest of the team. I have to admit the DT & the participants each month blow me away with their talent! Keep it up, we are loving what you all come up with :)
Thank you for stopping by. I'd really love for you to leave me a comment. I truly appreciate the time you take to leave me one...thank you x

Hello, sorry for my lateness with this...been a big past week for me with my sister's wedding! Yay!

When I saw the pastels palette I immediately thought of my gorgeous niece. My handmade piece is once again a flair from Flutterby Designs which I coloured with watercolours used in the background.
Pop over HERE to see the rest of the teams gorgeous creations. Hopefully this is on your 'to do' list if you've not already joined in :)
Thanks for stopping by. As always, a huge thank you for all your lovely comments...they do mean so much to me x

Meeting Heidi Swapp.
Hello, I hope you enjoyed the Easter break...it was very relaxing here. The rain was the perfect excuse to be a bit lazy :)
Last month while Heidi Swapp was touring Australia, I managed to get myself up to Spotlight to meet her...what a fabulous experience that was, she is simply beautiful in every sense. We completed a little 'make & take', the highlight for me was the shimmery gold 'happy'. Haha I had purchased the 'happy' die the previous week & had put it to use, but seeing it in gold was...wow! I hunted down some shimmery gold cardboard & once home cut a whole heap of words & shapes. Expect to see a bit of gold over the next coming layouts.
Like here...
I had actually done this layout at the last retreat that I went to, just hadn't decided whether to add a title or not. "Happy" suits my boy perfectly & everyone suits gold right ;)
Here is a close up of the texture.
Next is the totally 'Heidi' layout of our morning. Amazing how much HS stuff I have collected over the years, even used some of the packaging.
It was also fabulous to catch up again with the very lovely Kim Jeffress...her creations are simply gorgeous! I love her photography, her clean designs & use of colour. The added highlight of the morning was sharing the experience with my long-time scrapping buddy...gotta treasure moments like this!
Thanks for stopping by...as always, a huge, huge thank you for all your lovely comments. They do mean so much to me & I really appreciate the time you take to leave me one x
