ArtStacks with Deb Weiers!

Hello, I'm back today to share more of the gorgeous and what I found, totally inspirational Deb Weiers Wonkly Faces and Wonky Background packs from ArtStacks. It may have been the combination of receiving these packs and the fact that I hadn't sat at my desk, for too long, but I created a number of pages in quick succession. Haha anyone that has scrapped with me will know that this is NOT a common occurrence.

Granted, as this page shows, all the hard work was already done for me. I do feel like I'm cheating using Deb's gorgeous pieces, but if you are like me and a little time poor, it's great to be able to put together a fabulous page. Here I've stamped the page, originally in blue ink, but it wasn't the 'look' I was after, so went over it with blue paint. I then stenciled in some red shapes, most of which ended up under the piece of Wonky Background. Added a thin strip of the black and white striped paper, again was mostly covered up. I cut a small circle out of the translucent paper from the Wonky Background pack. The figure is from the Wonky Faces pack...isn't she brilliant! Final step was the painted circles using an old toilet paper insert...I'm sure I should find my coffee stain stamp, but we are looking at speed art here ;) nothing is quicker than this.

I thought this 'original art' stamp by Natalie May was so appropriate for this.

Thank you for stopping by, remember to pop over to the ArtStacks Blog as there are some amazing creations over there...you can find it HERE.

June Kraft+ Challenge

Hello! Have you seen the fabulous MONOCHROME CHALLENGE over at Kraft+ Challenges?

The hardest thing is settling on one colour ;) I chose yellow, mainly because I wanted to use the Kaszazz sunflower stamp and stencil. I've used a combination of paint and a hint of white gloss spray for my stenciled flowers. I then stamped the sunflowers and coloured them in using Natalie May's 'Words of Wisdom' Flat Magicals...they are seriously gorgeous!

A final sprinkling of gloss spray, after some journaling and a title and we are done. I've completed this in my Dina Wakley 6x6 art journal...I love this kraft paper, so smooth and a fabulous thickness. I can't wait to get my hands on the new larger one, it's going to work a treat for future Kraft+ Challenges.

Pop over HERE to see the gorgeous creations from the rest of the Design Team.

I hope you'll join us this month.

Happy crafting!

Hello, I'm back again to share the rest of my peak-a-boo window pages for ArtStacks, using the fabulous Floral Fetish and Bright & Bold packs by Lisa Oxley. They seriously are an uplifting and fun range to play with.

As well as Lisa's gorgeous packs, I've added one of the figures from the Lorraine Haight Moraine Altered Ancestors.

Here's the pages individually...

This page has some extra pieces from various packs. The background paper from Doors & Windows pack and the butterflies from the Anemones & Friends pack. This is peaking through to the previous page that I shared HERE.

ArtStacks creations...

Hello! I hope this finds you all well. Today I'm sharing more DT creations for the fabulous ARTSTACKS.

I have to admit, I absolutely love this new Artist Series from ArtStacks and had a lot of fun creating with it. Deb's work is so fun & quirky. For this page, I've used Deb Weiers Wonky Faces pack in my 6x6 kraft journal.

I loved this little guy..just as he was, but I wanted to make him my own, so to speak, so I've added some of the lips from one of the other sheets (DIY wonky faces) and added bits of that very striking black and white paper (which is actually from the Deb Weiers Wonky Backgrounds pack). I adored the mauve on him, so incorporated that in the background with a spray of distress oxide. I also had a purple paint pen to add some journaling....of course you can't actually read it, but that's the point ;-)

Thanks for stopping by.

ArtStacks New Artist Series Artist

Hello all! Have you seen the new Artist Series Artist over at ArtStacks....

I'm excited to share the ArtStacks teams 1st work with Deb Weiers new packs. I have to confess, I did not know of Deb's work until recently, but so incredibly grateful to be introduced to it. Her creations are absolutely BRILLIANT! I had so much fun creating with her designs. I'm sure you will too.

I've created this in my 6x6 art journal, starting with paint & a stencil. I hand cut the black & white stripey paper from Deb's 'Wonky Backgrounds' and added the face from Deb's 'Wonky Faces' pack and, for a bit of fun, I added the red spiky hair from the DIY Wonky Faces page and used it as eyelashes! I added some stenciled shapes and finished off with a tissue paper quote in Deb's handwriting...isn't it cool! I do love the handwritten text.

Here is a close-up of the face...

This range was such a fun one to play with. You can see the packs HERE.

Thank you for stopping by.

Happy crafting.

Creating with ArtStacks Designs

Hello all, I'm back here today to share more ArtStacks Design creations.

Here I've started off with a Kraft page. I find colours will pop on the Kraft and it's just a lovely change from white ;) Here I've used various stencils and paint for my background, it tends to be my typical way of starting a page. Haha in truth, it's probably using up the excess paint from another project, so you'll notice particular stencils and paint colours will repeat themselves in my pages, as I can't stand to waste anything. Classic hoarder!

I had this circle pre-cut from the cardstock from the Lorraine Haight Moraine BackStack, and added the cut-out leaf to incorporate more blue from the circle, edging both pieces in white pen. The white leaf is mixed media paper from the Trees & Leaves #1 Pack...perfect for watercolouring, which I've done here. Then added a couple of 'altered ancestors' from the Lorraine Haight Moraine CoreStack. Finally adding a title of 'Stay Creative', which is always good advice.

Thank you for stopping by. It's always a must to check out the gorgeous creations from the rest of the team, which you'll find HERE.

Happy crafting!
