Guest Designer over @ Flutterby Designs!

Good afternoon, I'm very excited to say I'm Guest Designer over at Flutterby Designs! Today is my 1st reveal, watch for the coming days for more...I certainly had fun playing with these gorgeous products :)

I love stencils & especially love these word stencils, they are perfect for any type of background...so uplifting & positive. I added texture paste to paint, it was a little more liquid than I would have liked but I still love the 'not so perfect' results.

I adore the Flutterby Designs wood veneers, these I left natural.

April Kraft+ Challenge!

Good afternoon...a new month, a new challenge & this one is a beauty over @ Kraft+ :)

I love the combination of kraft with black & white, so was excited to give this challenge a go. Haha the 1st draft didn't exactly work out how I liked so started again. I think I'll make cards out of that background as I handpainted the background which took ages ;) it may not have worked out, but too good to throw away!

Here's my final take on the challenge using the quotes & words as inpiration.

& a close up...

I created the black background was created by painting onto my craft mat like it was a Gelli plate. I've used gesso with the rose stencil (Kaisercraft) & then texture paste with the word stencil (Flutterby Designs).

Pop over HERE to see the simply gorgeous creations from the rest of the team. I look forward to seeing what you come up with this challenge & hope you have as much creating as I did.
Thanks for stopping by. As always, a huge thank you for your lovely comments. I really do appreciate them, especially the time you take to leave me one x

Hello & Happy Easter!

Hello to any of my followers who may still be following this super slack blogger! I hope you are all enjoying your Easter weekend.
I've put the final touches to layouts that I created at retreat...hmm last month, or maybe the month before??? Haha I'm seriously losing track of time lately.

I kept this one super clean & simple to show of the use of the Heidi Swapp Minc machine. Sadly the shimmer doesn't really photograph well, but believe me...it's gorgeous ;) this was the light pink foil.

Here's a sneak to try & highlight the shimmer...love it!

This next one is using the gorgeous 7 Dots Studio papers, with the story behind a dear little rescue kitty.

Again with this final one, I've kept super clean & simple. Haha something different for me without using mists, stencils or stamps ;) I adore these papers from Websters Pages, 'Begin Anew' range.

Thanks for stopping by...your support is very much appreciated :)
Happy scrapping!

March & hello Autumn!

March! Wow...where did February go??? I'd love to slow things down a bit...someone press the 'pause' button please ;) The great thing of a new month...is new challenges & I do adore the challenges over at Kraft+, though I have to confess this one was the toughest one so far for me.

Here's my take on the sketch & houndstooth...

You must go & check out the amazing layouts from the rest of the team...you'll find them HERE

Yikes! Super slack blogger!!!

Gosh, how embarrassing...to come on here only to discover that I've not yet posted my layout from last month's challenge! Haha I know things have been a little crazy, but that is terrible :(
I've just visited all the participants for the Kraft+ 'postal' challenge & they were all amazing...here is my very belated sharing of my take on this fabulous layout.

It was a little scary how many old stamps I found, yes I kept all my old stamps from stamp collecting days. Haha it's seriously scary how much stuff I keep! It may explain why I feel so weighed down...I'm really struggling to find 'balance' at the moment. 2016 was going to be my year to create a more balanced life, but it's already March & life seems more chaotic than ever.

Kraft+ January Challenge!

Happy New Year! I hope yours is off to an absolutely brilliant start!
The new challenge for Kraft+ has been live for a couple of days...I'm just a little slack ;)

I'll confess I'm super critical of my handwriting, but also understand the importance & sentimental value of it after finding a handwritten shopping list from my dad tucked into the back of a recipe book. It's on a scrappy piece of paper, but I've kept it <3 as="" br="" him="" it="" personally="" s="" so="">

Here is my take on the challenge...

I wanted the journaling to be the focus of my layout, so kept my photo & embellishments to only half the page. I ruled some pencil lines which I left visible. I love these 'Dear Lizzy' words, so brilliant!

Pop over HERE to check out the rest of the teams simply stunning takes on the challenge. These girls seriously 'wow' me every month!
Thanks for stopping by, as always a huge thank you for your lovely comments! I really appreciate each & every one of them, especially the time you take to leave me one x

My SBM Masters entry!

Hello, I hope everyone has enjoyed their Christmas & looking forward to a New Year! It's always full of hope...I'm certainly hopeful for a much better year ahead! Wishing you all a brilliant 2016!

I tried again this year for Scrapbooking Memories Masters competition & very delighted to have received an Honourable Mention for my 'Bling' layout which is seen in this months magazine.

Here are my other layouts....
Task one, 5x7 inch photo. I adore this pic of my girl, for reasons that I cannot truly express here...but that smile, those eyes, hence my choice of the blue background. It doesn't come out in the photo, but there is very fine glitter (Tim Holtz) in the background, as well as on the peacock feather.

Task two, multi-photo layout. We had only just picked up our two rescue kittens, so they were very much a highlight of our life...haha & still are ;)

Task four, budget layout. I started with white cardstock & created my background with Dylusions paint & lots of stamping in both paint & ink. I've also used lots of packaging, clothing tags & doilies. I stamped my own feathers & added some glitter to the ends.

Thanks for stopping by, as always, a huge thank you for any comments you may leave me. I do appreciate the time you take to leave me one x
Happy scrapping & a very Happy New Year!!!
