I started this layout at the retreat I was at a couple of weeks ago. I simply had to use the gorgeous Loolabelle's ARty Stuff peacock mask that I had bought & teamed with the Imaginarium Designs peacock feather chipboard...I love it!
Photo credit goes to Michelle Winston.
A close up of those peacock feathers...
Have you checked out this months challenge over @ Kraft It Up? It's a sketch challenge, which I absolutely loved...I had a lot of fun creating with this sketch from Scrap Friends! Check out the details here & see the 1st installment of layouts from the CT...I'll be back mid month to share mine.
Thanks for stopping by...as always, a huge thank you for all your lovely comments! I do appreciate the time you take to leave me one x

WW1...
The challenge this month over @ WW1 is...white + pink + hearts. Just got this done in the knick of time...
After watching Heidi Swapp's Creative JumpStart 2013 video, I simply had to have a go at creating one of her hearts. I will certainly be doing this again...it was a lot of fun.
Sorry for the dark photo, it's a very overcast day here today. Below is a close up of the texture, I'm really pleased with how it turned out :)

Retreat scrapping!
I was lucky enough to spend last weekend at retreat! I have to confess, I didn't get the scrapping done as I would have liked :( We'll blame that on very poor packing, hehe that's what happens with the frantic grab & chuck style of packing, when I was left with no time! But it was a fantastic time away, with a fantastic bunch of ladies...a perfect way to recharge the batteries :)
This 1st layout is for Scrap the Boys challenge using a photo of you & your son, to create a 'boy' inspired love layout.
The lovely Michelle from Scrapbook Divas was with us & knowing my addiction to masks, had put aside the 'confetti' one for me...let's say it was used a couple of times over the weekend.
Here I've used only half the template with black paint...
This photo has been used a lot by me...it's a fav, taken by the gorgeous Louise. You'll also notice her signature twine that I had left over from one of her classes. This layout is a bit of a 'self indulgent' one, but as a mum, they are lessons I'd like to pass onto my kids as early as possible. I've used my new Kaszazz 'inspiration background' stamp & cut out the appropriate words.
Thanks for stopping by...as always, a huge thank you for all your lovely comments! I really do appreciate each & every one of them x

KIU Challenge!
Good morning all! I'm just back from a weekend at retreat, so feeling refreshed & itching to get back to scrapping! It's so brilliant to see other people's work & how they create the things they do :)
Speaking of creations...the mid month inspiration for KIU has been added to the blog, check out the gorgeous layouts from the CT here.
Just a reminder...this months criteria was creative uses for sticker embellishments. I used a sheet of sticker alpha's as my background, it certainly a great way to use up all those leftover letters.

Weekend scrapping...
I love wet weekends, they are the perfect excuse to hit my scrap table ;)
Though this first one I created last weekend...been having fun with my new Tim Holtz cog die, which worked perfectly with his gears & the 2Crafty cog strip.
Again, having more fun with Rangers rock candy & distress stains, plus that cog die & those gorgeous gears. Just showing a 'sneak' of this layout as I used a photo pinched off the Maroon5 facebook page & possibly breaking some copyright law to show here??? ;)

This next layout took a while ;) tossed several backgrounds in the process & not sure I'm completely happy, but finally decided to stop being so fussy! Again, some 2Crafty chipboard...you'll notice a bit of a theme developing with each of these layouts. I'm trying to use my much loved chipboard, which rather than using, I hoard for 'special', but isn't every layout we scrap special ;)
