Brave Girls Club!

Found the 'Brave Girls Club' through Kirst, a scrapping friend...so glad I did! They send daily emails of what they call daily truths...this was todays.

"Dear Incredible Girl,
When you've done all that you can do, & you still feel like you have so much further to go, when you feel like all you have to give still isn't nearly enough, when it seems that you will not be able to keep up everything that needs to be kept up for one minute longer -
stop & breathe.
Look. Really really look at what you are expecting of yourself.
You are an incredible girl. You are amazing & strong & brilliant. But friend, you are also a human being. You cannot do it all. You cannot always hold everything together perfectly, & you cannot be perfectly composed every single day. It's okay to have 'off' days. It's okay to feel weak & overwhelmed & have meltdowns once in awhile. It's okay. YOU are okay. Everything is going to be okay. It is.
Let youself have those days to be a perfectly imperfect human being. Let yourself feel what you need to feel & process your life the way you need to process it. Let yourself BE.
Bad days will pass, overwhelm will dissolve, & the sun will come up again tomorrow morning, just like it does every day. There will be a brand new sparkling day waiting for your tomorrow, waiting for you to hold hands with all of the joy that it is offering.
You are just right. You are doing great. You are fabulous!
And you are very very very loved."

Today is one of those 'off' days for me...this email was perfect for me! So I thought I would share it with you.
Thanks Kirst for helping me discover this :)

Hoping to get my head into a better place & share some scrapping creations with you soon.
Thanks for stopping by :)

'Artist @ Work' is for Sue's challenge of doilies; include the colour blue; & staples.

Happy Mothers Day!

Wishing all those mums out there a brilliant mothers day, hope you all feel the love today! :) I'm making a quick post while my gorgeous girl makes buttermilk pancakes...yummm!!!

& to show off a layout I did yesterday...this one has been brewing in my head for a couple of months. It was a challenge set by Sonia over @ Scrapboutique, I instantly knew what photos to use, but simply didn't find time to do it. The challenge was to scrap a 'happy' summer memory & to use the colour yellow. The sun was created using glimmerglam...the sparkle in real life is gorgeous!

Thanks for stopping by...enjoy your day!

Layouts to share...

I did manage to start some scrapping last weekend & completed earlier in the week, just haven't had time to blog!
This one is for the current KIU challenge of NO Patterned Paper! Hehe any excuse to pull out the stamps & glimmermist ;) Here I've used the glimmermist with the masks as a stamp.

This next one is for Ant's monthly challenge over @ Top 50 using paper piecing in quilt type design; bling; stitching.

Thanks for stopping by...thanks for all your lovely comments, they do mean so much to me :)

May Scrap the Girls!

Scrap the Girls May challenge is up...scrap a layout based on an important female in your life. Extra criteria: more than 20 words of handwritten journalling.

I instantly knew who I wanted to scrap...my gorgeous & much adored grandma! Though getting this on paper was another issue!!! LOL, boy did I do a lot of paper shuffling & disposing of partly created layouts...I think it was that desire to do it 'perfectly' & uniquely her! This contributes to my colour choice of red, black, navy & white as these were her signature colours. The flower was also created with her in mind & as for the journalling...too easy, I had to edit a lot out, got a lot more for future layouts. I embossed the circles in my 'big shot' after reading this post on Kim's beautiful blog. I've managed to emboss all the die-cuts that I own, but hadn't thought of the humble circle...& I love circles!

Check out the inspirational layouts by the creative team here.

I absolutely loved this challenge & look forward to seeing your important females :)

Thanks for stopping by! A huge thank you for your congratulations & lovely comments regarding my recent addition to the WW1 team...they are very much appreciated x
