Weekend scrapping!

It was sad not to see the sun much yesterday, but certainly a perfect excuse to stay indoors & scrap!!! :)

'On this day...' is the layout that I scrapped, using What is Old is New vintage kit...which is simply gorgeous, almost everything on this layout was included in the kit! I love this photo of my family...so interesting to see the fashion! Hehe even funnier to see my dad, not only in a suit & tie, but gloves!!! Sadly my mother is the only person still with us from this photo.

Thanks for stopping by, your lovely comments are always appreciated...many thanks! x

Happy scrapping!!!

This layout is for the Stuck! August Bonus Sketch # 1. I had a bit of fun with this one. It's my 1st time doing one of their sketches...I've always loved them, just hadn't, but can see I'll be doing more.

This one is simply for the 'fun' of it...using some gorgeous papers & some really old photos :)

This is a layout that I started at retreat...thanks Michelle for the template, love it! Hehe as soon as her back is turned...I'm off with it ;)

This year I've done a bit of 'scrap therapy' & this layout is a recent one. With the 10 yr anniversary coming up, it seemed timely for me. I think being a new mum at the time, this event left it's mark on me...as it did for many. Photo credit to Pierre Coquil, taken in 1998.

Thanks for stopping by...as always, your lovely comments are very much appreciated :) thank you x

Retreat scrapping!

Last weekend I did manage some scrapping between loads of laughs & chatter at retreat! I absolutely loved 2 days of guilt-free scrapping :)

This paper was perfect for these photos, not much needed to do at all...don't you love those easy layouts! :)

I had fun playing with the 'big shot' dies & embossing folders after getting my hands on some 'core color' cardstock. I hope my MIL forgives me for putting her on green pp, she hated green...but I simply loved this paper & thought it suited beautifully ;)

I'm very happy to get some older photos scrapped...this is my eldest, in her fathers shoes!

The rest are yet to be completed...I just have to set aside some time! LOL which is easier said than done!!!

Thanks for stopping by :) & a huge thank you for all your lovely comments...they do mean so much to me x

WW1 & STG...

A new month & new fabulous challenges for you...

White with 1 challenge this month is WHITE + PURPLE + DOODLING!
This is my take on the challenge...I certainly had fun with it, making the most of my newly acquired 'posca' pens. I've glimmer misted a random shape & doodled with the pens around it.

You can view the other gorgeous creations by the creative team here.

Over at Scrap the Girls this month, our inspiration comes from a quote:

"Children need love, especially when they do not deserve it" - Harold Hulbert

Originally I had no idea what I was going to do with this quote, but my eldest reminded me of the time her sister ripped up the pinata that she had 'rescued' at her party! These photos are classic of my youngest daughter & we've been having a giggle over them...though, all these years later, I still don't think her sister has forgiven her!!!

Here's a close up of the lemon & lime bags that I used trying to replicate the shredded pinata ;) These photo's weren't the best, so I reduced the size of them & converted one to blk & white...the expression on her face is priceless ;)

You can view the rest of the creative teams brilliant layouts here.

Thanks for stopping by & a huge thank you for all your lovely comments...they do mean so much to me! :)

I'm 'retreating' at the end of the week, so hopefully I'll have loads to share next week...fingers crossed. Have a great week x

Happy Scrapping!!!
