ArtStacks play.

Hello to you. Today I'm sharing some creations using ArtStacks Designs.

Here I've used the new Kraft journal from Dina Wakley, I love the 6x6 size, so nice and easy to create a quick page. Here is a couple of 'quickies' for you.

I painted a green square on each page, outlining with pen. I've then layered strips of pianola paper, the book paper and the brown dressmakers tissue paper...all from The Homemaker CardStack to each page.

To this page I added the flower bouquet from the new Anemones and Friends CardStack.  The final addition is an ArtStacks title quote.

The 2nd page one is basically the same as above, though I've stamped the brown dressmakers tissue with a stencil and gloss spray and my feature is the figure from Faces and Figures pack.

ArtStacks with Lorraine Haight Moraine.

Hello, today I'm sharing an art journal page using the fabulous ArtStacks 'Artist Series' from Lorraine Haight Moraine @queenodella and I have to say...I'm loving it!

I had traced and cut out some (Dina Wakley) heads from the 'back stack' card...it's a lovely thickness to cut. As I'm not one to waste anything, this left over piece became the springboard for this page. I painted the background, to give the figures some colour, adding some journaling in white. I added some washi tape to the top as a boarder and a strip of the 'tissue paper' lines too. The title is more of the tissue paper words, I love them on the white background. My focal point was the delightful 'altered ancestor', the final addition being a die-cut 5, again out of the original 'back stack', because...why not!

And a close up of the main page...

ARTSTACKS Creations

Hello! I hope this finds you all well? Today I'm sharing a double art journal page using the gorgeous products from ArtStacks. Pop over HERE for more beautiful inspiration from the rest of the team.

For my page, I painted, stamped and stenciled sprayed the background across the 2 pages. I then stuck down the torn strip of the Paper Ruffles from The Dressmaker Pack. I love the texture of the stitching, even if I've not created a ruffle out of it. I then created each page as an individual art journal page. I'll do this a lot as I'm a bit anal about my pages matching...even if they are individual pages, I like them to co-ordinate and will take elements across both pages.

Here I've cut out the beautiful flowers from the canvas photo paper, found in The Homemaker Pack. I had cut various figures using a stencil, this one out of old music paper. Adding the butterflies and title from The Anemones and Friends CardStack.

For the next page, I added more of the figures, one out of the canvas photo paper...I just adore this paper, so gorgeous! The other 2 figures were out of kraft paper, which I stamped and the other coloured with gloss spray. I incorporated more of the book paper, as a circle and a title, again out of the new Anemones and Friends Cardstack. I also added the tissue paper flowers, which I coloured in with Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks.

Here is the 2 pages together, as you would see in the art journal...

This almost completes this journal, though I've already started on a couple of new ones. Haha I have several on the go at once, as I'm a bit of a journal hopper, as one page dries, I move onto the next, hence why I struggle with the idea of videoing my creations...it's all a bit random.

Thank you for stopping by...any comments you may leave me, are much appreciated.

Happy crafting!

Art Journaling with ARTSTACKS!

 Hello lovely people.

Today I'm sharing some more art journaling using the gorgeous products from ArtStacks.

The background is created using Dina Wakley paints and stencil, with a bit of stamping with Kaszazz background stamp. I had created the tag months and months ago. I was from a gel plate session, which I added to while creating one of my earliest ArtStacks pages...the window feature, where I had to paint the other side of the figure. There is no point wasting this opportunity to use a figure (Faces and Figures Pack) as a mask, so that's what I did here and this tag has been waiting to be used. The colours worked perfectly with the background and with one of the latest paper dolls (Dressmaker Pack). I added a handcut semi circle from some book paper (The Homemaker Cardstack) and a title (Faces and Figures Pack). There is also a little torn strip of the paper ruffle (The Dressmaker Pack), just under the title. I love the added texture the stitching and loose threads create on this.

The botanical leaf is created using the stencil of a beautiful friend...how cool is it, thank you Ronnie.

Here is a bit of a close-up of my page, showing off those 2 fabulous ArtStack figures...

July Kraft+ Challenge.

Have you seen this month's fabulous challenge over at Kraft+ Challenges...

 it's all about GRAPHIC LAYERING.

I took colour inspiration from the mood board and started with a combination of green paints with a stencil. To keep up with the layering concept, I added some collage paper from Dina Wakley, keeping with the graphic look. After adding a couple of figures, which took WAY too long to figure out whether it should be 1, 2 or 3, I added a final layer of more painted triangles. It was finished off with some gloss spray speckles and a title and we were essentially done.

Pop over to the Kraft+ blog to see the rest of the DT's fabulous GRAPHIC LAYERING creations, you'll find it HERE
