Scrap Around the World Challenge.

Good afternoon. We finally have a cooler day here in Sydney...making it much more pleasant to sit at my desk & create :)

Each month I love the inspiration from Scrap Around the World & am very pleased to have played this month. This is their gorgeous mood board...I was inspired by each of the sample pics.

& this is what I did with it. Haha though I've just noticed on uploading it, that I've forgotten the frame...ohh well ;) I've had these papers from Fancy Pants Designs for ages...it's brilliant to put them to use! LOL I'm a terrible hoarder.

A reminder of the fabulous sketch for this month...

Here's my take...I used the gorgeous papers from Kaisercraft. Isn't it easy when you have the whole range on hand ;) These colours worked perfectly with my photo & even though they aren't 'beachy', I think it works.

My handmade item is the altered 'washi tape' flair. I also cut the hearts from felt, but everything I though of doing with them ended up looking very much like Charm's gorgeous creations...I felt that was a bit wrong, so simply felt them plain.

For 123 Challenge Blog...

& here is my take on the criteria...

With the word 'appreciate', I knew I wanted to scrap the sunrise photos I had taken which worked well the lemon. I created the folds in the tissue paper...great to adding texture without too much bulk.
