Scrapping update...

The return to school, also means the decline of my scrapping :(

As this was our very last CC over @ Forever Always, I was disappointed to only get one challenge done...very sad all round! I simply couldn't go past the 'special challenge' dedicated to the lovely Sonia...she has made FA such a wonderful family home. I'm very lucky to call her a 'friend'...thanks Sonia, for everything! x
The challenge was to use 7 criteria that was typical of Sonia's style. I used red, blk & kraft colour combo; cluster; sewn on button; stitching; 'fun' in journaling; multi photo layout; food; Jenni Bowlin; & glimmermist...which makes 9! ;)


This next one was for the CC the previous week over @ Scrapbooking Top 50, using bling; distressing; buttons & photo of someone in a mirror. Couldn't go past these silly photos of the family from Luna Park.

I've also joined the 'Postcards' comp over @ Scrapboutique...something very new for me! Our first stop was Italy, with loads of yummy inspiration.

More scrapping!

This 'sweet' layout was for one of the monthly challenges over @ Scrapbooking Top 50, using the word 'sweet'; fabric; layering & spots. Shhh, don't tell anyone, but this is the first time I've actually made a yo-yo!


This next one is simply for myself! Loved this photo that Sonia had snapped of my daughter & had to scrap it!

Close up of the ghost butterfly...rather pleased with my 'spot on' stamping! :)

CYBERCROP- The Good Old Days - Save the Date!

It's our last one...so be sure to make it the best one!

It is very sad to think our very last Cybercrop @ Forever Always is fast approaching! They say all good things must come to an end. But like all good things we must look back at THE GOOD OLD DAYS & think of all the happy memories & the place Sonia has worked so hard at creating for us. So this cybercrop will be all about THE GOOD OLD DAYS! I do hope you will join us on the 22nd April to give Forever Always the send off it deserves...full of chatter, laughter & inspiration.

Scrapping update.

I am managing to get a bit of scrapping done during the school holidays! :)

Though, technically this 1st layout was done before...
It's in support of Michelle's article for the FA April newsletter. I took an old layout, which was somewhat 'lacking' & added some colour, by including some pp, glimmermist, extra flowers & watercolour pencils.

This one was for Scrapbooking Top 50, Sue's monthly challenge of 8.5x11" lo; imperfect 'distressed' photo; handwritten journaling & doodling. Photo credit to the lovely Lou...who showed me how brilliant these type of photos are! I'm very grateful for these 2 ladies!

& this one is for From Screen 2 Scrap, with their monthly challenge inspiration 'Little Miss Sunshine'. I'm not a 'yellow' person, so this was a little different for me...but I had fun with it & it came together very easily.

Holiday Scrapping!

For my challenge over @ Forever Always, I've used a 'decor photo' for inspiration this month...below is my layout. I simply loved the colours & textures of the pic, so drew inspiration from those. This led me onto the photo of Lou, which was perfect...I believe her friend Nat took it, huge thanks...I love it!

This next one is for Kraft It Up...with their challenge of monochromatic.



This one is simply for myself...I had just been given this paper & had to use it, rather than storing it...which normally happens!

Lastly, this one for Scrapbooking Top 50, Vicki's challenge using 4+ photos taken by your child, masking, die-cut & the word child or children, etc.

As you can see, I've been having heaps of fun with the glimmermist...so I am one happy scrapper! :)

The mad dash around the house, looking for eggs is now over & it won't be long till all eggs are consumed...hopefully without the sickly after effects! ;)
I'm personally loving the break...I've managed to scrap!!! Woohoo...gotta love that!
Sonia has very kindly given us all some extra time for the Forever Always cybercrop, which means I've actually got some done. Again this month, Belinda has created some brilliant challenges.
This first one is for the sketch challenge.

This next layout is for challenge # 2 using a book pg; numbers; something old; ink, paint of something handmade...LOL, I pulled out my very neglected watercolour pencils.
